I've been looking more closely into the WMP12 issue when minimised. I've tried different variations of keys in the registry to no avail

I'm gonna re-install 7057 now, make note of the keys there, re-install 7068 & see what the difference is. (It's gonna be an ar$e of a job as I only have 1 rig, but it might herald some interesting results)....See you all soon (hopefully LOL).

Hi Orbital Shark,

I'm still running 7057 (x64) if you let me know what key values you need to know I'll post them back for you if that would help

Can anyone else confirm that it takes long time to create new folder (when using right click)? Like 1-2 secs before | appears to edit text.

Cheers fella, have already installed (and back again twice LOL). I've even exported the registry values but once imported, Windows throws up a version error;

wmploc.dll
Expected 12.0.7068.0
Found 12.0.7057.0

Have looked at multiple values but had to reinstall 7068

I was looking in computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Media Player

I did notice several minor differences in the use of CAPS in some words (7057) and not in others (7068). Been looking into this for 2 days now, i'm sure it could be a registry issue as i doubt the software has changed much between 7057 & 68.

What build of Se7en are you running? I've just tried it on my desktop (build 7068) and it too a fraction of a second.

@ Orbital Shark,

Instead of installing a different version and then reinstalling 7068, why cant you just create another small partition to play with and when your done you can delete it.
