update.jpg icon on my desktop

I always have this "update.jpg" icon on my desktop, which I can't open it with any image viewer. I delete it but it come back again, does anyone know what it is

Homegroup icon appeared on desktop after latest update
Hi, as per thread title a Homegroup icon appeared on my desktop after performing the latest update. It's not a major issue other than I don't need it, I don't want it and Windows won't let me delete it. Does anyone know why this has suddenly happened and what, if anything, I can do about it?

W7 keeps deleting my excel ss desktop icon whenever I update it??
Whenever I update my Excel speadsheet after first opening it by clicking the desktop icon. It then deletes the desktop icon when I save the sheet. It only does it with this particular icon. If I try copying the ss from another backup location back onto the desktop it says 'this is a duplicate...

White 'File' icon showing over top of normal desktop icon
Really weird, see attachment.. Tried resetting the icon cache. It's like this on all of my desktop icons.. any ideas?
