idk if this is right area but its saying i only have 181 fonts in my folder..
i downloaded quite a few from dafont.com and extracted them to the windows/font folder and they arent working.. in winxp it would
i went to command prompt from windows/fonts and type dir and there is 691 fonts
why cant i see these fonts and get them working?? im trying to do some graphics work in photoshop
Open the fonts folder and see if these fonts are hidden. If so change them to show. You should be able to select them all at once and change from hide to show.
ive got them all on show.. but it only shows 181 fonts.. theres 500 hidden??

I've just tried a couple from the site you mentioned (jellyka_gare_de_chambord and infected) and they both installed correctly. I downloaded them to my downloads folder, extracted them to the same folder and the right-clicked on the extracted file and selected Install. Which fonts are you having trouble with?
thats the thing then, i didnt install them.. before on winxp i could just extract them to the fonts folder without installing..
how do i see those fonts in the font folder and install them??
it only shows 181 and not showing the other 510
