    Hello everybody.
Im reading the seven forums for a while but this is the first time i needed to ask something.

I have windows 7 Professional and there is a weird thing going on with the icon of the windows explorer.
I can't really explain thats why i got a pic.
The menu that is supposed to show up once you right click on the windows explorer icon got insane. Used to work like everybodys here. Pinned, recently etc. After one restart the menu shows only three options, without recently, pinned, etc.

Even how much i searched i couldn't find a solution, this thing is killing me..I hope someone here knows whats going on.

Really sorry if this isn't on the right category, but didn't know where to post it.
    Thanks in advance.

Did you know that you left mouse click you open up to a full window Explorer,
you right mouse click you get the menu you show in your picture.
What do you think is wrong?

Sorry mate, but the problem is that you are a "seven pro" and have no idea about windows 7. maybe look at the page one when there is a screenshot on what right click looks like on that icon.

What number do you have in: "Number of recent items to display in jump list"?

Btw: there is no need to get hostile with IggyAZ. He is a very helpful member.

Just for the record, I'm seeing the same thing as the OP. Only one addition is Desktop as the only jumplist item. I've opened plenty of shtuff for it to be showing more than just the Desktop jumplist item. hmmm

Thank you whs for defending me.
I'm wasn't clear what he is asking.

If he wanted to have items remembered in a jump list when he opens Explorer he can try this:
    Win7 Orb right mouse click
    Select Properties
Select Start menu Tab at top
    Select Customized button
Lower part of the screen see what the number is for
NUMBER of recent items displayed in jump list. It is probably set to zero.
    Just increase the number
Or just hit the default button and start from scratch.

If this is not his problem I will not return and let someone else help.

IggyAZ, that was my last thought too.

GregS, do you have this box checked: "Store and display recently opened items in the start menu and the taskbar" (in orb > properties > start menu button).

Just got back from the office and saw the answers.

Thank you guys, but nothing works. The number of recently displayed items was to 10...
but still jump list on windows explorer doesn't work :s

I don't know what to do, i was so used to them..

EDIT : ok so i did some more research and i found that this is a problem many people have and there is no fix for this. for some weird reason the jump list from windows explorer just dissapear.

For anyone in the future that might need the answer to that..
    Go to : %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
and delete everything in there, restart and the jump lists will start working again. At least for me did.
