    Installing on old laptop?

I have this laptop lying around "Samsung sens p28" The drivers were virtually non-existent for even XP when I googled. How much of a possibility/headache would it be to get Win7 going on it? I'd just like to use it as music station.

    It's 1.6ghz 2gigs ram btw

So far specs seem OK, but that is not enough to go on.

Try downloading the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. That will tell you for sure.

    Good luck!

There's no OS on the machine now, the upgrade advisor needs to be on the machine that's getting the install I'm guessing?

I guess I'm curious if the machine basically has no support or central location on the web for drivers would someone who has more experience with Win 7 venture a guess as to how much trouble it would be worth, if at all?

    thanks!

Yes, the Upgrade Advisor needs to be run from an OS.

They say Windows 7 has much better driver support than Vista. Give it a try! You don't have any data to lose from it.

You don't even need to pay for a license key to try it out. You can use Windows 7 unactivated for 30 days.

I believe in 1.6 Ghz... it can be little depressing that you expect it to be... More like a headache
