icons do not match their shortcuts!

Just the other day after I turned on my laptop, I noticed that my desktop icons do not match. The shortcut for iTunes has the icon of Microsoft word, Frozen Throne(a game) has the logo for Adobe Dreamweaver, etc.

When I right click one of the desktop shortcuts that is not proper and click properties, all of the information appears to be correct and also has the right icon for the shortcut from the properties popup.

I have no idea why this happened, and have been unable to fix it. If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. I have tried changing the resolution on my screen, refreshing, and restarting the laptop.

Any ideas, please comment.
