Two OS options?

    Two OS options?


    Well the problem is i had windows7 installed but i also wanted to install windowsXP professional that i did after doing so i was not able to see the option for my Win7 boot so i repaired startup options for win7 using its DVD then i resolved it i can now use win7 but i dun see the option to select winXP
    so is there any way to restore it back? so it gives me options like following


    please select any following options to proceed
    Older versions of windows
    Windows 7

    or something like that??? please help!!

    Am i at the right place to ask this question? sorry if i am not lol

    You could try installing EasyBCD, as detailed on this web page:

    Go to this link install said software and fiddle about with it. It is easy to get the jist but if you need any more help you know where we are. It is vista boot pro and good software for arranging boot up options etc etc. The link is to a direct download so for those of you who don't want it don't click on the link.

    well i installed it but how do i get my winxp boot back it says i only have one boot and that is w7??

    and ummm.... what is windows legacy?

    I can't remember where it's stated, but you're never supposed to install 2 OS' (Windows, at least) on the same drive, without the use of something like EasyBCD.
    Even if it's the same OS, they mess with eachother and cause problems.
    You could potentially end up losing data
