    Laptop display quirk.

I have a Dell XPS m1330 with W7 Pro. When I'm at my desk I plug it into my external Dell monitor (different resolution than my laptop's LCD) and use that as my primary display with my laptop display as an extension. Whenever I unplug it my laptop automatically reverts the primary display to my laptop screen and resets the resolution but it makes the taskbar default to be on top of my windows, so it covers important stuff and it bugs me! Usually the bottom of my windows just rest edge-to-edge on top of the task bar. I have to put my computer to sleep and wake it back up for it to reset itself. Are there any easy fixes to prevent this? I keep up with Windows updates and nothing has fixed it yet. Other than this stupid little issues, I have to say... Windows 7 is amazing! Back when I had Vista I swore to myself my next computer would be an Apple. Thanks!

Well, you can change it in the taskbar settings rather than sleeping.
