My window minimizes on it's own

    Hi,

I am not even sure how to describe this annoying little problem. I'll be in a window, I use my mouse and then when I don't need the mouse anymore I set it aside and at times I lose my window. My window minimizes and hides until I grab the mouse and get it back. I'm really hoping there is a setting somewhere where I can end this annoying thing. I work online entering data in fields and I go back and forth from typing to using the mouse and it happens quite frequently.

Has this happened to anyone and is there a way to put an end to it?

    Thanks.

Had another thought, this may be a feature and not a problem. If you have several windows open. Only one is shown. The others stay in the task bar. You run the mouse over it and pick the one that you want.

Now that I read your question again, I think that is what it is.

Click on it when it first appears.

Are you grabbing the window with your mouse? As has been mentioned which window has focus? You can try the Problem Steps Recorder to replicate the issue and upload it for review.

You aren't setting the mouse aside and it's hovering on the 'show desktop' button perchance?

If you are using Windows Aero, do you see a clear glass window appear when your app minimizes?

It's 1 window, but I have 2 tabs in it.

I ... don't know how to get to my IE properties. There isn't an icon on my desktop. It's on my toolbar, but when I right click it.. properties isn't there.

Yes, I do see a clear glass window appear. Sorry, I don't know what windows Aero is? I looked it up. It's a feature in XP and 7? If I have it selected, I don't know about it.

Type internet explorer, in search. When you see it just right click. You will see properties.

I don't have a show desktop button. I really miss that. I right click on the toolbar and select "show desk top"

This just happened again. This time I moved the mouse slightly to see where the cursor was. It was over my time and date.

It seems to be Aero Peek. Disable it and see if that fixes it.
