I started renaming partitions when I had 2+ versions of Win7 installed at once so I could tell which is which.

Being an old school HD partitioner, I have been doing this for a very long time....

It is kinda funny, as these days I don't do it as much - I leave the main System partition named as the OS names it, but all of my other drives get named as I want them named - Downloads, Data, Storage, etc....

Yes its usefull, but how to rename it? I have Win7 x64. Rename wont get job done, so what do you suggest?

P.S. Whatever I type they are still named Local Disk, but only in WE (Windows Explorer). In drive manager they have given names...

I have the same issue as Hiro...

only 2 of my drive seem to have a label that shows up, the rest stay "local disk" no mater where I change its name
