Pc Sleep issue- doesn't boot up

I clicked the sleep button when I was switching off my pc by accident. As I turned my pc on few minutes later the pc powers on but doesn't the monitor says no signal.

The pc didn't make the beep sound when booting up. I pressed keys on my keyboard and mouse but nothing happens. My optical wired mouse has no light and my wireless keyboard receiver has no lights on .

Can anyone help thanks

64-bit Windows 10 Pro

Hello Bauer,

You can press the restart button your computer case, then select the "Start windows normally" option when you see that screen at boot to see if it will boot up normally for you afterwards.

Hope this helps,

The pc is custom built and purchased from cougar extreme in the UK. It's 2 months old and running Windows 7 and have a broadband modem and wireless router connected to the pc. I have removed both of these from the pc and still no progress.

Reset your CMOS by either crossing the jumper on the motherboard, or resetting BIOS to default to see if that may help.

Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1

My PC acts the exact same as yours.
What I do when I accidentally press Sleep is, unplug the PC, open it, remove the video card, put in another one, plug it back, get monitor signal, get a bsod, reboot in safe mode, remove old graph card drivers, turn off, unplug it again, remove the video card and put it back the other one, close everything and plug back everything and install graph. card drivers again.

I know that it's tedious. If you don't have an extra graph. card, just hope that your motherboard has an on-board one. If not, just unplug the graph card and power on the PC without it. Leave it open for 5 minutes (remember, you can't plug your monitor) and close it again. Then, plug the graphic card again in hopes that you see what's going on. If you don't see anything again (no signal on monitor), then, I'm clueless.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64/professional x64

Had somewhat the same problem, i hit the sleep button on my keyboard by accident, screen went black, nothing happened, reboot didn't work.

Solution: Remove cmos battery (clock battery on the motherboard) and wait for some seconds or do as brink said "Reset your CMOS by either crossing the jumper on the motherboard"

only jumpers on my motherboard where for audio so cmos battey it was, worked like a charm =D Updating bios now to see if that solves anything.

When it boots, it shows a...
