Deleting Icons from Taskbar?
I've got an (blank) icon left on my Taskbar from an app that I uninstalled that won't go away. (No right-click options, etc.)
How can I delete it?

Download and use Ccleaner, get rid of all the remnants.

Also, right now try to boot the computer, it may be gone.
Hello Imacken,
You might see if restarting the computer may help if it's just a ghost shortcut.
If not, then look in the hidden system folder below to if it's in there. If so, delete it and restart the computer to see if that can remove it for you.
C:\Users\(User-Name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
If it still will not, the reinstall the program, unpin it from the taskbar, and uninstall the program.
Hope this helps,
Shawn
Thanks guys. Incredibly helpful as always.
Well, I've used CCleaner for years, never occurred to me that might solve it. So I ran that and rebooted. Icon is now gone. Don't know if it was CC or just the reboot, but either way, thanks again.
Thanks for letting us know. The way I have helped you; others have been helped by you. Take care and enjoy. I had hoped that the boot and ccleaner would do the job or it would have been necessary to use more potent weapons.
Take care, my friend.
