Thanks ... just found this one too DeepFreeze! but what i want to know is does it do what i want it to do? as this sounds like just something to keep your computer more safe! it will always revert back to the standard setup on how i set it?
Oh and a free one would be better too ... lol
Thanks all ... ive just found version of it im going to try! lol... so looksPay > Free
Just do a clean install of Windows with everything that you need installed, then install Deepfreeze. That's all you have to do :) When you have it, it's all self explanatory.
like ive got what ive been looking for.
Thanks again
I did read one line on there website ''Bulletproof'' lol... dont think yourCool, I'm still trying to hack into it so I can install my games on the computer lab without having the deepfreeze password xD
gonna get far! R+
Thanks for the info mate, and the help. R+Can't help with the free part but this will do exactly what you want. The nice thing is you can "thaw" the computer to do administrative tasks like updates and then "freeze" it again when you're done.
I looked at the system logs of the computer in my school and I have seen that each time tat it does a windows update it automatically thaw's the computer for that one task to do the update, without you even doing anything.
Deep Freeze sounds like a cool product. There are a few times I wished I had something like this for computers that young kids use.
