    Sound icon disappeared


    The options become unavailable, googled, deleted some registry entries no luck :/

    I remembered I was using custom user interface, in group policy, disabling it fixed my problem. Thank you dwarf.

firefox icon disappeared

Hi all, turned on the comp this am and my shortcut firefox icon was no longer on the desktop. Checked properties but no option to change it there. On the start menu the icon is shown as an app icon so can't get a shortcut there. Any ideas welcome thanks
I'm using the intel dx58so board and 7600 x64 ultimate. I was playing the latest call of duty game yesterday and stopped to take a nap, when I woke back up there was no sound, and even with it set to display disabled and disconnected devices the sound portion of control panel had no recollection...
