    Multiple user licence

I have 3 PCs running Windows 7 Ultimate RC. What is the cheapest way to buy a new licence for all 3? Is there a 3 licence pack for instance?

Hello Sheridan, welcome to the Seven Forums.

There was a Windows 7 Family Pack, 3 Home Premium licences in one pack, but it is no longer available (Microsoft kills $150 Windows 7 Family Pack deal).

So, if you want to run Seven on all of your three computers, you have to buy 3 licences. Only other option is to join Microsoft TechNet, the subscriber price entitles you to multiple keys. Yearly cost around $250 to $350. Sorry...

Kari, has given accurate information, which was objective. My statement will be subjective. I believe that with the poor economy, sales of Window 7 will begin to lag expectations; Microsoft will offer deals. I think that if you have patience, as early as this year prices will drop, for short term sales. Maybe as low as the $49.99, during the preorder period, in July, for upgrade versions. If not immediately needed, I would wait a bit, let the excitement and dust settle, you may be happy you did. Worst case scenario, you wait a bit longer for Windows 7, but then when you get it the enjoyment will be enhanced that much more. Take Care.

Hello sheridan, welcome to Seven Forums!

TechNet is great, you'll also get the soon to be released Office 2010 for the same one time TechNet fee; search the net for discounts.

Thanks for your advice to wait. However my evaluation copy will time out shortly. Microsoft are very bad at this kind of thing and it doesn't do them any good. I'll search around for other (cheaper) solutions!
