    Virtual Desktops


    I heard Windows 7 was to include Virtual Desktop support, like Linux. However, I can't find this anywhere.

    Anyone else?

    I had not heard that Win 7 was going to natively support virtual desktops, but here is a link to a SysInternals program for this:
    Desktops

    SHould work on any Windows version XP or newer but I have not tried it.

    Basically, not the same kind of virtual desktop i was talking about. Instead, virtual machine (VHD).

    No it's not solved.


    I was seriously looking for a solution and thought I found one when I saw this post.

    This feature in Windows 7 doesn't look or feel anything like the virtual desktops on Ubuntu.

    If you want that, try VirtuaWin.

So I made the mistake of getting too used to Linux (heh), and miss virtual desktops. I downloaded Dexpot, and have it set up and all, but I was wondering if anyone knows how to have an option to 'Move with Window', where you hit a key combo to move it to a different desktop, and it switches...
I am assuming it's similar to VMware view (without a few bells and whistles) anyone got any experience with using this ? I am thinking about getting a virtualised test bed up and running. wondered on others thoughts.
