    Win 7 Build Numbers

    Hey everyone,

I am using build 7000. Is there a place where I can legally download the newer builds?

And do they require a clean install?

The only build that has been officially released by Microsoft is 7000. However, others have been leaked, viz 7022, 7048, 7057 and 7068 (and others). These can be downloaded via torrents (use Google). In all cases, the same product key will work. I recommend a clean install for all OSes, especially beta versions.

What torrent software can I trust/use?

Others will tell you utorrent (aka micro-torrent) and the original BitTorrent.

Do some reading at Slyck.com - Guide To BitTorrent - Intro to help you make a decision.

    Thanks.

I used BitLord and downloaded it.

I thought I burned it to a DVD but I guess I didn't do it right......... and it wouldn't boot from the disc; so I don't have any more DVD's so I need to get some more tomorrow and try again.

What do you all use to burn the ISO to DVD?

    Thanks

Yes it's free (Well, you can use the unregistered version). And it works perfectly well with Se7en. Am using version 4.4 here.

I also use Nero7 and that works well too.
