Hello MrT, and welcome to Seven Forums.
You can right click on Favorites and click on restore Favorite links. If that does not restore it, then you can go to C:\Users\(username) and drag the Desktop folder into the Favorites area to copy it back there.
Hope this helps,
Shawn

Brink, are you sure that's going to work. Desktop is not part of Libraries, it is part of Favorites. I would try to right click on Favorites and use "Restore favorite links". I am not sure either whether that works because I did not want to experiment with my system - but it seems more logical.
I tryed with Libraries, didn't work out, tryed with with Favorites, allso nothing happened.
Is there realy no chance?
Teamwork, great. But I just see that it did not seem to work. Too bad.
You should be able to go to C:\Users\(username) and drag the Desktop folder back into the Favorites area to copy it back there.
Not really an answer directly to your question but--
WIN + D will always get you the Desktop.
Here WIN denotes that key with funny looking wavy flag on it. Simply hold the key down and tap the D key.
Another approach:
WIN + T (to bring up the taskbar if you've got it hidden)
On the far right-hand side of the taskbar is a narrow rectangle.
Click on that rectangle or just pause over it to get a view of your desktop
I've never used the Desktop folder approach as I prefer the two approaches I've mentioned.
Even easier - if you click on the very bottom right of the screen in the taskbar (to the right of the clock), that brings the desktop up. And if you click again, you are back to where you were.
Ok, I get desktop back in Navigation Panel.
Thanks for your help :)
