i cant pin this program to my toolbar?

so im trying to drag and drop a program/icon from my dekstop to pin on my taskbar but it wont. why is this?

is there some sort of limit...i got about 12 programs or so pinned to it

Hi, right click on it and choose pin to Taskbar.

Try one of these many methods. I do not know what the limit would be, but only so many icons can fit in a given space. Did you unlock the taskbar (right click on the task bar lock or unlock)?

No limit on the no of programs that can be pinned

There is no restriction on the no of applications that you can pin on your task bar.

Is there a way to make the windows media player toolbar on the taskbar like it used to be in vista and xp? im sure you used to just right click on the taskbar then click toolbars then windows media player but this option doesnt seem to be there in W7.
