bootmgr missing problem

    bootmgr missing problem


    hi all.
    after downloading some stuff from the net i off the laptop then when i on it again the message appears. i downloaded the win7 iso and put it in a cd. i put it in to the laptop but the press any button does not appear. when i on the laptop i jumps straight to the bootmgr missing screen and i dont know how to enter the BIOs from there plese help. i am new to this kind of thing.

    erm at first there was the system repair thing and it reformated then my sis said that there were some important files so she closed the system repair just after the reformating when the system fils is at 4%. is this why the problem appears and how do i fix it?

    was formating at 4% or the system install ?
    i think what your going to have to do is reformate the drive (losing all the important files).
    then reinstall windows ..

    did your laptop come with a windows recovery disk or did you make a recovery disk?
    if not look like may have to buy a copy of windows to install..

    your going to have to format the harddrive and then reinstall windows .

    btw you should never stop a format or install at anytime .that will only lead to trouble as you already found out.

    Have a look at this tutorial at the link below, it explains how to do a wipe (secure erase) that is much better than a format, to the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and you can use the system boot disk listed at the second tutorial to boot the PC to diskpart; be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.
