If you don't unplug the tings I listed above, they are still drawing current when turned off to include cable or satellite boxes, DVD/VHS recorders, etc.

Can you set PC to auto shutdown in power saver?
I am able to tell my PC to sleep after a certain amount of time but I would like to know if there is a way to tell it to totally shutdown instead. Thanks for your help :geek: i.e. last night I fell asleep and my pc stayed on all night without ever sleeping or shutting down!

I use a program known as 'auto power on 2.30'. to wake up computer from hibernation\standby on windows XP.But it is not working in windows 7,please suggest a solution or other programs to do so. Also i cant find standby or hibernation modes in windows 7 and only sleep mode...please help
