Set system to respond to single click instead of double

In Firefox, a single click used to change tabs, now it requires a double click. This type of change has also appeared in other programs, so it seems to be a system problem not just a Firefox problem.

Is there somewhere in Win 7 settings where I can set programs to respond to single click rather than double click?

Try control panel>mouse. You can adjust settings.

That worked in Firefox. Went to control panel, mouse, reset to default, single click now changes Firefox tab. Thank you.

    Howdy.

The setting is in control panel, folder options.

I'm glad you found a solution that works for you.
