Don't know what your hardware is but if you have an intel chipset with one of these storage controllers download the Intel Matrix Storage Manager

It's a little bit more than this ...
AERO is the name of the Desktop Engine of Windows Vista and Seven.
The desktop engine is like the graphics engine for a Game, it make all the render of the software windows and windows desktop.
Aero is able to use the power of your GPU for better looking, performance and stability.
The only good reason for disabling Aero is power saving on an laptop when it's unplugged.

If you were to study what was required then you would have seen that what was written was based solely on the context of what was asked. My 17 years in the computer biz has allowed me to give responses based on how the questions are asked (user knowledge) and therefore i see no need to inundate someone with information that they otherwise would not even need to know.
