7077 most responsive and stable yet (most unlike vista)

In response to a thread made earlier I thought it only right (as I'm a big fan of win 7) to "stick up" for this build and the flack it received (especially in the thread title). After reading through the post I can honestly say I have had none of the problems reported and find the build to be the most productive to date with regards to speed and stability. Reading through the masses of posts the general gist I get from it all is that 99.99% are very happy with this build also.

To quick too often are people ready to shoot down the operating system instead of looking at how they are set up eg overclocks, patches, hardware, software etc etc and one can only assume if nobody else has these problems they must be user generated.

Windows 7 in my opinion is far more superior in every sense of the word than any other operating system has been at this stage of it's life. There can be no comparison!

Sorry jimbo45 I just cant agree with your thread title!

I totally agree, Windows 7 is by far the best way forward. It's been too long since we had such a stable & fluid OS and if RTM (when finally out) is anything like build 7077 then I say bring it on. With the added support for various hardware & the sheer increase in performance (even with my low spec lappy LOL) it's just the bees knees.

Thanks Orbital Shark. I would actually pay for this as it is because I have never come across an operating system quite like it and as I say what makes it unbelievable is the fact its not even out of the beta yet. I'm sure they are about to "bring it on" and I'm ready and waiting, even got my combats on:)

I have to agree. I'm just waiting for the official RC to come out, and then I'm migrating 50% of my users to Win7. Going to pick the ones that are most computer smart so they can get some training ahead of the lusers and help me with questions when we finally switch. We're a small organization, only 50 computers for staff and 20 or so for public use. I won't switch any of the public ones until we have a retail copy, don't worry. :P

My biggest issue is the lack of a Swimsuit model theme... It really is a showstopper for me :P

I have to agree with you guys, Windows 7 has been better than Vista ever was for me. I have Vista and 7 on a dual boot and almost never use Vista anymore. Do you guys that still have Vista or XP on your computers find that you use them very much now that 7 has become so reliable.

I don't have them any more, I rely on windows 7 only and have since build 7000. I could not contemplate using another operating system now!

I'm totally with this on this one. I was very pleased when I tried "Sony Ericsson PC Suite" and found it's working good in this build, unlike previous builds when it couldn't install at all. W7 is taking all the right steps to become a great success.

Well, for me, 7077 isnt any good. 7068 was stable and fast while 7077 is buggy and 3 of 4 apps I constantly use like to hang themself :/ On the bright side it had drivers for my LAN chip :>

I do understand that I just wasnt lucky this time since all leaked builds since 7000 were working great for me. And, looking at the forum, 7077 for most users is performing flawlessly.

    Waiting for next release :P

PS. And the dreaded sleep mode is killing me. I turned it off but it still is going to sleep after 20 min. If i manage to wake it up my network driver is disabled and I cant revive it without restarting. uTorrent has a ability to prevent the PC from going to sleep so I keep it on all the time and it works :>

I have Vista on another hard drive. I almost hate booting to it. It seems like I just don't want to anymore. Windows 7 build 7077 is supercalafragilisticexpialodoches. Work on that spell checker. :)
