Personally I prefix all of my date critical documents with the reverse date as a eight digit number, everything then sorts without issue
EG
a document created today would be - 20140303-Document title.docx

Is there a way to sort them all in separate Folders (by Artist name for example)

I can't seem to get my file folders to sort into catagories . :mad:

In Vista, I was able to sort files by date created, highlight the files I want, then sort again by name, and all the files I selected previously would still be highlighted, but now they're in numerical order. Win 7 won't let me apply that second level of sorting. It's either name or date, but not...
I am trying to figure out if it's possible to ignore the articles in a file name (i.e. A, An, The) for sorting purposes.
More specifically, I want to organize my music folder and I want the folder for "The Beatles" to sort with the other letter "B" artists instead of with the "T" artists.
