Problem with User Account
I recently purchased a Dell Vostro 220s with Windows 7 Pro installed. I migrated all my settings and data from my existing PC running XP Pro via my LAN. Whilst doing this I was instructed to set up an additional Administrator account which I named 'Administrator1' - it wouldn't allow 'Administrator' which I have now found out is because there is a 'hidden' account with that name.
When I tried to install Quickbooks I entered the activation key having logged in via my own account (set up as an Administrator) but received an error. This problem was solved by logging in using the Administrator1 account and then no problem occured. I have now discovered that MobileMe will not synchronise using my user account but does using Admin1. In addition Acrobat crashes on opening via my user account but not using Admin1.
It would appear that there is some fault with my user account but I don't know where to start. Are there settings which I can alter to correct the fault? Alternatively can I migrate my own data etc onto the Admin1 account and then just use that? Should I copy all my data, delete my own account and then set up a new account?
Many thanks in anticipation.
