As none of those are running unless you have any of those devices, in turn disabling does nothing.

tasks

Hi guys,
I just converted my 64 ultimate and 32 vista machines to 7. I have disabled some of the services (superfetch etc) and have gone thru the task scheduler bit by bit and disabled most of the tasks. I kept seeing the customer experience tasks, even though I did not opt in. I disabled them all (thru the console). Aren't these tasks that send data back to MS?? Will be searching the forums for candidates for service and task disables. You guys are life savers.
Thanks
Joe

Best of luck.
Hi Bare Foot Kid,

Thanks for your input

Sorry for the delaied reply

No, sorry that's still much to gain & "Black Viper" is still very actual & working

I started with 79 (!) processes running /scheduled etc.

Now I am under 50(!) slowly disabling unneeded stuff

System is much more responsive. The Quad computer with 4 times more memory is still slower than XP Dual Core with just 2GB
Win 7 is a pure c**p ... (not much better than Vista , which basically - "nothing") sorry to be so blunt and rude
Why user should go through all of this in order to making this new OS working faster and being close to old XP regarding the performance ... not saying that x64 dose not bring any advantages except of troubles . Running 32bit applications is faster and more reliable than 64 ones ??? 2 Javas ; Flash - no 64bit ; IE is hanging - be careful to install any new add-on.
No problems with Firefox noticed tough ... and so on & so forth

Shame!

Cheers!
