Users file disappeared

    Users file disappeared


    Ok so i just bought a studio XPS with a quad processer and i tryed to get my hidden folders to show. I go to properties in when i press hidden folders it went away and i uncheck it and it doesnt come back. Any help?

    I'm not sure that I understand what you did. Go to Control Panel>Folder Options>View tab and select "Show hidden files, folders and drives" and you might deselect "Hide Protected Operating System Files", as I have done.

    Belive it or not. IT WORKED!! Weird but it freaking hid all my stuff on my desktop. Thanks to you its back. THANKS!!

    Welcome,

    In the future to avoid problems, before making any changes that you are not familiar with make a system restore point. In the event of a problem you can always restore. In addition, you have the capablity of making an image of the entire hard drive (system image) make one now and update once a month. In the event of a future problem you can always restore. Keep the system image on a external hard drive.
