Unable to pin a program/folder to the taskbar

    Greetings.
I have problems to pin program or folder to the windows taskbar. I have tried every methods mentioned above, but it just doesn't work for me. The option "pin to taskbar" by right-clicking a program doesn't exist for me, even when I run the program/folder, the only option it shows is "close windows". By dragging program/folder to the taskbar doesn't work either. Please help.

    Additional information:
    - The option Recent programs(both options) is on.
    - The taskbar is unlocked
    - Taskbar buttons is on Never combine

    Thank you

Hello Mr Lee, welcome to Seven Forums!

Have a look at the tutorial at the link below and follow the instructions to see if it turns up anything.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

You don't get this option when you right click any program at all like I did in the snip below?

    Hello Mr Lee,

Try what Ted posted above to see if that may be the issue with program exe files or their shortcuts.

Pinning a folder to the taskbar requires a completely different method than programs though. The link below can help show you how to.

Taskbar - Pin or Unpin a Folder

    Hope this helps,

    Hey
Thanks for the replies, but it still doesn't work even if I run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker.
My windows menu differs from your screenshot, the options I get by right-clicking on a program is; Open, Run as administration, remove from the list and properties.

    Thank you
