Yes i have that turned off a long with a list of other services which are useless for my use.
Do you think Indexing is causing this?
I run SSD's which is why i have it turned off.

Does anyone actually right click the start button to open Windows Explorer? I never have...I use Win+E every time.
I have it on the task bar next to the start orb. Windows + e works well also. I don't use a ssd at the present time so I can't help you their. Hang in there, some body will come along that can answer that for you. At least I hope so because I have a ssd for my next build. Another though, because you are already using a ssd start a new trend, (what services should I turn off when using a ssd). It would be helpful to many up coming ssd users. My understanding is that Windows Explorer uses indexing.
THANKS Layback Bear.
