Windows 7 Pro 32bit "Search" - if you can call it that.

Okay so .. call me old-fashioned but .. when I use something called a "search" ... I sort of expect to be told where my search results are located..

Am I missing something here, or is this so-called search really giving me every tiny, unneccessary, blatantly obvious, and USELESS piece of information, EXCEPT where I can find the file(s) I was looking for?
Its even more striking with, say, audio files, where I can see the bitrate, artist, album title, ...... give it a RATING!! but am still no wiser as to where I might actually FIND the file.

So is there a workaround, modification, tweak, ... to change this silly limitation?
(Other than right clicking every search result and checking its properties, or "open file location", of course).

    wahnsinn, welcome to the forums.

Did you try clicking on View and change it to Details so it will show more info?

Hello wahnsinn, welcome to Seven Forums!

We all rant from time to time; at least you found a solution.

Could also right click on the file you wanted and select "Open file location"
