Start button Right click Open Windows Explorer does nothing. Help

I searched all over the web including this forum and nothing, sfc /scannow didn't work. There has to be some registry key that is missing or i need to modify.

    Any helps is appreciated.

Does explorer open correctly if you press the Windows Key+E, or Start>All Programs>Accessories and select Windows Explorer?

The right click Start usually does open Windows Explorer with the focus on the Libraries. Start>All Programs>Accessories should also open the Libraries. Do you use it often, and know when it stopped working? If so, you may have a restore point from before the problem began. A Guy

I use it from time to time but its initial location is useless since i go up in the directory structure to get to the local C when it used to work. I added a My Computer quick launch shortcut so that will solve this issue. I have all the libraries removed via registry mods so that may be the culprit but i doubt it.

I would just really like to know for my own sake why it wouldn't work and what key in the Reg is causing the hiccup. It's not a deal breaker certainly not for me to reinstall or build the system from scratch since i have so many tweaks. The last backup was a while ago after i implemented all the tweaks so even with that it might not have worked.

Not an issue just curious if there was a fix to this.

Since both the right click start, Open Windows Explorer; and the Start>All Programs>Accessories usually opens to Libraries, I'd suspect your reg tweaks are indeed the issue. Have a look HERE.

Two threads going on this topic right now, and being cross posted. Can they be combined somehow by an admin? I suggest at the very least no more posts here....use the other thread.
