My Documents is Missing !

    My Documents is Missing !


    I genuinly dont know when this happened but now when I hit into my user I cant find My Documents. I know the files are still on my computer because when I hit properties and go to previous versions I open it and copy and paste everything into my user now but it says do you want to replace files so they are definatly on my computer but I cant find them anywhere I need serious help thanks

    Oh and Im using an Acer Aspire 5542 with an AMD Turion II Dual Core Mobile M500 2200Mhz with 2 cores and Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Build 7600

    Have you tried running sfc /scannow from a command prompt?

    Sorry man but Im actually a complete noob when it comes to computer stuff :P can you tell me how I can run a command prompt? Thanks

    From the start bar, enter CMD... this will open a dos prompt.. enter
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
    You can also perform a repair install... Repair Install

    Its telling me I must be an administrater running a console in order to use the sfc utility. I am the administrater and the only log on my laptop. Could my laptop be infected? I have a Microsoft Essentials scan running incase lol .

    The actual path to the folder should be: users > (your user name) > My Documents. If it isn't showing up in your "Documents" Library just right click the "My Documents" folder and use the "Include in Library" option to put it back. If thats not your problem post back with more info and we'll try and sort it out.
