    OS choice menu

    Hi,

That black screen thing which contains "Earlier Version of Windows" and "Windows 7". I want to do 2 things:

    1) Rename Earlier "Earlier Version of Windows" to Microsft Windows XP Professional.
2)The default highlighted choice be the first option. Meaning "Earlier Version of Windows"

    Thanks...

You can use Easybcd to rename boot menu options or change the order. Download from link below.

Download EasyBCD 1.7.2 - NeoSmart Technologies

Hello BIOS2bb, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition, this can help show you how to change the what OS you want as the default one to startup in.

Default Operating System - Change Default Boot OS

and to rename any one of them:

Dual Boot - Change OS Name in Windows Boot Manager

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Open an administrative command line, type "bcdedit /set {ntldr} description "Windows XP" " then to change the default selected, type "bcdedit /default {ntldr}"
