    Context menu behaviour changed !

    Hi friends . I have a query !

I recently installed photoshop cs5. It changed the program association of all the picture files with PS. I restored them to windows photo viewer manually .

Now I see that when I right click on any image file and select "edit" , it opens with PS, not with paint. But I want it to open with paint, if edit is selected.

It happens for .jpg, .png and .ico . Any suggestion for me, friends ?

    Thanks in advance
    Archie.

    Hello Archie,

You can download the file extension in the tutorial below for each one that needs to be restored back, and run it to do so. You might also check in PS to see if there is a setting in it to not make it the default program for these as well.

Default File Type Associations - Restore

    Hope this helps,

    Hi Shawn !
At present I could restore the default file associations ... they all opens with windows photo viewer , but edits with PS . I want to associate the edit option, I want it to edit with paint.

Generally PS needs a bit time to load ... it is quiet normal. But Paint loads up instantly, as it is a lite program . If I am to do some minot tasks like change the format from bmp to png, it is easiest and earliest with Paint, and so I am wanting it

Go ahead and try the REG file downloads for them. They set all defaults for the file extensions, and not just the default open with program.
