Hi people, found your forum via Google. I have an issue with Windows 7 Professional.
It is a new install (2 days old) and every time it is booted it launches into start up repair. Is there anyway I can completely disable it so this doesnt happen?
After it goes through it boots correctly but still comes up after a clean shut down. Also, if we reset the PC during startup repair then manually tell it to boot normally, it does so successfully.
Change the boot sequence in the bios. Set your hdd as the first boot device, save changes, exit.
Hard drive is the first boot device. It is the start up repair built into Windows. Not the one from the DVD. How would altering the boot order in BIOS change that??
In that case, your best bet would be to do a system restore to a point before this started happening (if such a point exists) or do a repair install.
The install is a day and a half old on known working hardware!
It is not my system, it is a client who I built it for. Any other suggestions?

Try running a startup repair from the repair or installation disc. You may need to run it as many as 3 times.
