Ah, you've reminded me there was some issue with UTC and what time zone you are in. I think it works for me because GMT is the same as UTC, but I can't remember exactly.

Have you looked at the 2 references above? The suggestion there is that it should work regardless of where you are - which would make logical sense!
Scanning the first link, it seems to indicate the root of my problem, because I just installed Kubuntu, and the time error started immediately afterward. I have used other Linux OSs that did not reset the BIOS clock, so I'm surprised that Kubuntu does.
I have no desire to have Windows run on UTC, so I need to find a way to prevent Kubuntu from throwing a monkey wrench into the works.
