    MSVCP100.dll Missing Message??

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

Boy, I'll tell ya, there's always something going wrong. Always.

Anyways, I'm trying to run a program for a game called Oblivion. The program is called B.O.S.S. It sorts the load order for Oblivion so mods aren't conflicting, etc. The program ran fine a couple of months ago. But now when I try to run it I get this error:

I have no idea what it means. I have no idea what to do to fix it. I don't think it's a problem with BOSS. It seems to be the computer itself. I can provide more information about BOSS if anyone needs me to.

    Please help me.
    Thank you.

    Edit:

I Googled msvcp100.dll and a site with this came up:

    "Windows errors related to msvcp100.dll
If Windows is unable to run applications due to a .dll error, this .dll may be missing or you may have registry error. Such errors can heavily influence the performance of your PC. We strongly recommend that you run this free registry scan
Here you can download msvcp100.dll free of charge. The file is compressed so you need an unzip software in order to use the file. We recommend you to read the tutorial how to unzip and install the files. Use the link below to start downloading msvcp100.dl."

I'm not going to do anything until some people on here tell me what to do as I trust this site. I ran CCleaner and as far as it can tell there are no registry errors---which is one of the possible problems it could be according to the above article.

    Please help me.
    Thank you very much.

You may be able to retrieve a valid copy from a previous restore point. Run Shadow Explorer - there go to the oldest restore point you have an navigate to C > Windows > System32. This is a huge folder but the .ddls are alphabetical. When you found it, right click on it and "Export". The put it back into your system's system32 folder.

I don't know how to run that program. Does it work for Windows 7?

And here's another weird thing! My sister has the exact same computer and OS as me and BOSS runs fine for her. I searched in her \Windows\System32 files and typed in MSVCP100 and nothing showed up. But, like I said, BOSS is running fine for her.

Could this just be my BOSS or is this really my computer? Also, here's a link that has a downloadable .dll file. Could you please take a look at it and see if it's legit or not?

    Site with the .dll file

Thank you very much for replying.

Edit: I used the program and search in the System folder like you said but MSVCP100 is not there. MSVCP60 is there though if that means anything.

I used the program and search in the System folder like you said but MSVCP100 is not there. MSVCP60 is there though if that means anything.

Sadly, my most recent restore point was on the 30th.

But, again, is it truly my computer? My sister doesn't seem to have that .dll on her computer either and BOSS runs fine. Can you please take a look at that link?

Thank you. This is very depressing for me.

UPDATE: I got the previous version of BOSS. One that was released last September and it's working!!

I have absolutely no idea what that error was all about. Sheesh, too much stress. Maybe I should retire from playing computer.

    .....nah.

Thank you very much for helping me...again!!! I appreciate your time and assistance.

But, by any chance would you know if my computer truly is missing that .dll or if the recent BOSS is just bugged?

This link wants to sell you some useless program. I bet they don't even know what a MSVCP100.dll is. I also have a 60 but no 100. But with .dlls you never know who installed them. Could have been this BOSS thing. dlls (dynamic link libraries) are subroutines that one or more programs can use.
But if the program asks for it, I guess it needs it. Why don't you reinstall BOSS and see what happens.

PS: I guess you had the same idea. Good.

    ANOTHER UPDATE:

.........I feel really dumb. The creator of BOSS provided the files needed to make the more recent BOSS work. I just saw them now. (Sheesh, I really need to stop staying up late. This always happens when I'm tired. Always.)

I am really sorry for wasting your precious time WHS. I'm sorry.
