    wintpx32.rom

    Hi folks,
when win7 is starting I get a "RunDLL" dialogue stating that :-
"There was a problem starting wintpx32.rom - The specific module could not be found."

I can not find a file called wintpx32.rom on my system, nor any reference to it in a Google search, anyone know what this is about perchance?

    Cheers
    Bob

not 100% certain on this, but have you tried to update your bios? the .rom extension normally refers to a bios file, or maybe an emulator for some game or game console

No, I've not tried a bios update, this is from withing win7, would a bios update not occur before windows took over? No games or games consoles either.
