Computer wakes up from sleep, nothing displayed

    No such luck...even after a hard reset it just goes right to blank monitor

    You may want to take your computer into the shop to get the graphics card or mother board replaced.

    Not nice, specs are not filled out.

    If you have a desktop, uplug wait 30 minutes and boot. If laptop, same but battery must be removed.

    Switch off screen blanking in Power settings. Works for me

    I had a similar problem. It would be worth checking that your monitor isnt confused about whether it is receiving an analog or digital signal from the display card:
