    snare,
When you get a chance, update your system profile. I also took my sweet time before I ever even entered anything in that category.

    Now to your question:
One can associate "tasks" with events.
You might want to take a look at your event logs (EVENTVWR.MSC).
You might end up needing to associate a PowerShell script with the event.

I've never tried to do what you are trying to do, although I've written, and use, PowerShell scripts. Whether there is a script available to accomplish you partitcular objective I do not know.

Let's see if I've got some "bookmarks" to powershell forums:
Google Reader - Dreaming in PowerShell
    Google Reader - get-powershellblog
Google Reader - Hey, Scripting Guy! Blog
Google Reader - James O'Neill's blog
    Google Reader - JBs Powershell
Google Reader - Master-PowerShell | With Dr. Tobias Weltner
    Google Reader - Power Tips
    Google Reader - Tim Sneath
Google Reader - Under The Stairs
Google Reader - Windows PowerShell Blog

Ok those are all blog sites and many of those sites have associated forums.

Opps, just noticed that those are all links via Google Reader. If that doesn't work for you then I'll go the extra mile and get the actual "ungoogled" sites.

    Hello,
I have a problem about sleep. When i close the lid it goes to sleep mode. And i requires password. Until here everything is okey. I want password protection when i close it. But problem is when i try to type my password it says "wrong password or user" . To login i have to "SWITCH USER" and type my password. This is the problem. I don't want to do "SWITCH USER" everytime .
Is there a solution for this ?

PS: I asked this in another forum. Everybody talked about disabling password on wake up. I don't want to do that. The thing that i want is to able to type password without "SWITCHING USER" . This is the most important point.

This might not be it... but I've seen stranger stuff.

The Win7 SDK (Software Development Kit) says the maximum length for a computer name is 11 characters... yours is 12.

For example... With a computer named BIXBOX and user Fred... the login screen would show... BIXBOX\Fred as the login name.

Now if this is causing an error where the last character of the computer name is clipped off you get ... BIXBO\Fred ... which is not you.

Try renaming the computer itself... Something short like "Elmaj" and see what happens.
