Tell your dad that it is absolutely safe.As crazy as this sounds my Dad is too proud to take my advice. He says that there could be trojans in that file and he won't download and install it.

I actually have one more question. Are there any problems in using Macrium? Like, what if Macrium isn't installed on my computer. Will the restore disk still work and will the images still be accessible?
Okay, I will. But I don't think he'll listen. He's nice and kind and all but he doesn't like taking advice from his kids.
You are welcome and come back often. A gift for you.

Okay, I will go that guide.
One last thing I just thought of: If Macrium was uninstalled or not on my computer for some reason would the restore disk still work and would the images still be accessible and work?
Yes, the restore is done with the Recovery CD. You could also still mount the images and copy files out of them. But you cannot take new images.Like, what if Macrium isn't installed on my computer. Will the restore disk still work and will the images still be accessible?
Tell him I take advice from my son (46) all the time - and I am 72.Okay, I will. But I don't think he'll listen. He's nice and kind and all but he doesn't like taking advice from his kids.
Okay! This is great to know! If something were to happen to Macrium I'm glad to hear that the CD will still work even without Macrium.
Okay, I will tell him!
Thank you once again for your time, help, and great advice!! It will not go to waste.

Also, to specify. I used DiskDigger and it solved my original problem. I was able to retrieve all except 4 or 5 pictures. Which is not bad. I will be more careful next time!
