Make title bar a drastically different color

I have trouble seeing the difference between the title bar that is in focus from the title bar that is not in focus. So I want to make them drastically different (the active window being blue and the in-active windows being red).

I have tried the color changes offered by Windows but they don't give that much control.

Is there a way, perhaps using regedit?

One way would be to revert back to the classic style where you can customize every single color option yourself, but that would mean giving up Aero features, so I don't think you really want to do that.

What if you changed the intensity of the color? When they are light and pastel-like, the subtle difference can be hard to tell. Maybe with deeper, more intense colors, the difference would be enough for you to see.

If you are using the default aero theme I can change that for you I have Windows Style Builder to do that.
If you are using a custom theme you will need to ask the theme maker. It's not cool to change someone else work.
All I need from you would be the RGB for the colors and name for the theme and I can make that and post it here for you.

It will be a custom theme then so you will need to do 1 of these 2 ways of Enabling custom themes for it to work.

Let me know if you would like me to do this.

    Hi there,

I see in your specs that you have Windows XP. This forum is about Windows 7. Try posting your question here: Windows XP Forum and Discussion - CNET Forums

If you're on windows 7; the thing you want to do is (as far as I know) only possible with Windows Aero (that's the name of the theme) turned off.

Right-click on your desktop, click "Personalize", scroll down (if you can) and (double)click "windows-classic".

Once the teme is applyed, click on the "(change) window color" button. From the drop-down menu, select "Inactive Title Bar" and select your color.

    Hope this works for u!

    Thank you for offering that.

I don't want to go to classic so if a custom theme can be done for Aero then I would love. The colors I would like to try are. I will look at your code and make changes if I want some other colors.

Here you go Extract the zip folder and put both 1 Eddy theme folder and 1 Eddy.theme file in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
Will show up in Personalization as Eddy

I tried it but it changes to a Classic theme and does not show the red/green title bars. I extracted to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes.
