    Windows Search and Special Characters

    Hi.

    I am trying to use windows desktop search to find all files that have a filename stucture of filename1_(2).jpg, filename2_(2).jpg so that I can mass delete them. I can not seem to find a way to search for this a windows search seems to want to include everything between the ( and ) and being part of an or function.

    Any ideas.

    BTW, this happened when using windows photo import. for some reason, it did not properly ignore existing photos.

    Thanks

    the known way of type special characters in windows

    I looked some more and found that you can change you're keyboard to U.S. International keyboard. If you did this you can type special character like this:
    Change you're keyboard to U.S. International keyboard now you can type special characters like:
    á = ' + a
    é = ' + e
    í = ' + i
    ó = ' + o
    ú = ' + u
    ñ = ~ + n
    ü = " + u

    I got this from: Typing Spanish Written Accents

    Be alert that windows is difficult in changing the keyboard. curtain key combinations changes the keyboard again. Very very annoying. But now you can type special character anywhere in windows.

    to beable to still write a single qoute ' or a double qoute " type (' space) or (" space).
