    thanks for ccleaner.
hmm, it removed only 229mb. Can I delete those files manually?
I guess you can, but as long as you do not know what they are used for, I would be careful.

Those files seem to be Trouble Report / memory dump files.

Are you getting problems reported (or in Event Viewer)?

I would move them to a temp dir in the root so you can find them easily in case you need to boot a CD and repair. Move and reboot.

WinDirStat is way cool, thanks. My WinDir is 13G, not sure why it is that big, running 64 Pro.

Hmm, the size of my C:\Windows is 17 GB, this is Ultimate, but the size of C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles is 0 (0 files, two folders). I would agree with Duke - move them and try to reboot.

In fact, I googled (and binged) the filenames that your earlier post showed - the only reference found was this very thread.

    Thanks for this information!
My ServiceProfiles folder was 46GB, quite a lot on a 128GB SSD :-/

    EDIT:

Ok, this is a problem. I deleted the files, and now the size of the folder is constantly growing while I'm using the computer.

VR777, have you got the same problem?
