    Locked Taskbar?

Is the locked taskbar supposed to lock the taskbar? i mean why are the icons in the taskbar still movable under the locked taskbar checked..

I'm pretty sure locking it just keeps you from moving it and adding some things to it like toolbars.

A locked taskbar will allow a certain amount of leeway when moving the position of the main icons, but only within a preset area.

It will not allow you to move the actual position of taskbar (to other locations, such as left, right, top), nor adjust the boundaries/ placement of custom toolbars etc. Also it will not allow extra toolbars to be added as Derekimo mentioned.

For example, the vertical placement and the highlighted dots in this pic are custom toolbars that which can only be added and moved by unlocking the toolbar.

    EDIT:

Nope, you can still add new toolbars when locked and move icons into predefined areas.

There is no way of locking icons in the task bar.
