Laptop pointer freezes on login screen
I'm having a problem with this laptop after changing out the ram.
It's a Lenovo 3000n100, running win7 32bit. ( I upgraded from Vista.)
It originally came with 1GB ram, I increased it to 2 GB. It shows in the bios as 2 and also in belarc.
After changing out the ram, about every other time I start it up, when it gets to the logon screen, the pointer is frozen. I can log in, and on the desktop it's also frozen, so I have to use the win key and arrows to restart then it starts up normally. Once in a while, when it get to the logon screen, it's just black and then I have to do a hard shut down.
I changed the ram sticks around, made sure they are seated properly and I still have this problem.
Before buying the ram, I ran the crucial advisor and bought Amazon.com: Crucial 2GB Set(2x1GB) 200-Pin PC2 5300 667Mhz SODIMM DDR2 RAM: Electronics
IRC, I didn't have this problem with the original ram 512x2. Not even sure if it's a ram problem or not, but I haven't been able to figure out what's going on.
I have also checked the intel drivers and they are up to date.
Can anyone give me a clue as to what I should do?
