    Deleted Original Windows Fonts how to get them back?


    Hello all,

    I was recently looking up some solutions for a Photoshop problem i had recently and one of the solutions were that i delete some of the original windows fonts
    turns out....that solution did not fix my Photoshop and i would like to know if there is any way to get back the original windows fonts i deleted?
    i have already tryed system restore but it goes way to far back to when i really had serious issues with my comp so is there any other way?
    as always thanx for any help you guys can give a me.

    You could try a repair install, that might replace the fonts, but I'm not sure.

    You also might be able to find the fonts in question on your install dvd. It would be located within the x86/x64 directory and then under the fonts directory. If you can't find it, search for it via the search command.

    Run Shadow Explorer, navigate to a restore point (shadow) where they were still intact and find them in C\Windows. Then right click on the folder and EXPORT (best to C\Windows in your system). Just make sure that there is not already a fonts folder. If there is, rename it to Fonts(2) before you make the transaction. You may have to first take ownership of that old fonts folder before you can rename it.
    If that does not work, you can download mine from this site. Use "regular download" - but it is a big folder of over 200MBs, so it will take a few minutes.

    it did not have me courier font..

    Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007 installs the same font set as Windows 7 has. So just install the Viewer and the fonts should be restored.
