    Snipping Tool Question

Is there a way to annotate a snipped screenshot with a fonted text? I know I can do it with the pen, but I'd rather use a nice font.

    thanks

Within Snipping Tool, I don't think so. It's an extra step, but just open the saved snip in Paint and add the text you need.

    Welcome to the forums sharkman!

Once you've used Snip to save the file, nav to that file and open it with the new Win7 Paint app! It can now crop and many other new features!

It's cool that MS finally updated this OLD tool!

    follow up on this.

I had a shortcut to the desktop for the snipping tool and I deleted it. I then noticed it's not in my menu listings under start.

I tried going in to Program and Features and turning it back on, but that didn't help.

Tried running sfc /scannow and that didn't help as suggested on the Vista forums.

    any ideas?

Found it in Windows system32. nevermind.

But my problem is how to use this thing effectively.

Either one of these two will allow you to make annotations, boxes, arrows, etc:

There is also a way using screenshots and Paint:
