Windows Explorer Menu Bar Problem.

    Windows Explorer Menu Bar Problem.


    ok... so this is m first post...
    Anyways. Today when i opened a windows explorer window, and went to the menu bar, it looked like this:

    Something went wrong and the Words do not have the little box thingy around them anymore and now are highlighted in blue... how do I fix this?

    Are you using any custom themes or have you customized your advanced window settings. Most of the color settings are in there.

    Control Panel (All Items) > Personalization > Window Color (Bottom) > Advanced

    Check your "Alt" button. That's what happen when you press your "Alt" button... It got highlighted blue...

    before it wasn't like this... i don't know what happened.
    @zzz2496 are you sure? Before when i hit the "alt" button, it wasnt highlighted blue... it had the rectangle thing around it.

    nope, i havent using any custom themes..
    the advanced windows settings only apply to classic i think. i haven't touched the advanced setting either...

    I'm positive, that's what it do when you press "Alt", maybe your "Alt" button is stuck, or some application invoke the "Alt" button... Why don't you try pressing the "Alt" button when you see that blue highlight... See what happens...

    Yes I know how it's supposed to look... Maybe you can do this, boot up your computer WITHOUT a keyboard, see if explorer still do that.

    How am I supposed to know that if you didn't fill your system specs... Anyway, check the "Alt" key, I'm sure it's stuck in someway...
